We're heading back to Murrayfield on Saturday however the wife is still nervous of public transport so I said "no problem, we can take the car and walk".
Can anyone suggest a decent place to park within 20/25 minutes walk that avoids driving too close to the stadium?
We'll be coming from Dunfermline or Stirling way so either M90 of Glasgow Road.
Thanks.

If you head in nice and early you can usually get a space on the side streets off Corstorphine Road and around Balgreen area, the trams will be rammed so if she is nervous then well worth avoiding.

See you there!

I usually park around here https://goo.gl/maps/V1FfBfS7Ssy5jPsh9
Not too far a walk and then get a curry from Jashans on the way home (or sit in)

My daughter had football at Saughton on Sunday. I was there early so had no problem parking but it might be tricky later in the day. But the cafe looked good and the gardens are nice to walk through.

The Zoo car park (Hilton hotel more specifically) is free. Not too far to walk if you can get in there. Just don't tell the lovely people at the zoo I told you 😉

Park somewhere near the railway line that runs from Edinburgh Park to Haymarket.
There is a footpath that runs alongside it and actually diverts into Murrayfield Stadium's grounds!

Private box when you get in?

If you must drive in, at least have the decency to park in an industrial area not around peoples' homes like all the dickheads that park round ours (and then urinate in our garden on their way back). Russell Road is probably appropriate, but as intheborders insinuates - you're going to be surrounded by thousands of people for several hours so just go to one of the park and ride venues the city has gone to the effort to put on for you and use that.

Is your street permit parking only? If not I call it fair game. Residents don't own the public road outside their house. No excuse for pissing in the garden though. I promise I will not.

For the sell-out Autumn Internationals we got the train in from Linlithgow to Haymarket & walked from there. Going in earlyish the trains weren't really that busy compared to the 67,000 in the stadium.
