You would have thought he'd have attempted to get inside first before starting shouting!

er he had a knife and the soldier was doing the shooting?
it's in the actual headline

French soldier shoots attacker outside Louvre

time to be careful how we actually post when we don't read the facts

after the Fox misrepresentation in Canada I think we should all think about what and how we post - do you want to report something or start something?

Report or start? Genuine question - I'm not sure what you mean?

OK your post fails a basic journalism test, it gives the wrong impression from the outset. You could have gone with man with knife shot in Paris or even terrorist in Paris shot by army. Instead you use a "Shooting in Paris" which leaves a lot open to interpretation. Was that your intention?

No.

When I posted that link this morning. The BBC headline was "Shooting in Paris". The initial report did not state who shot who.

Also the thread title is a question. Not a statement. I was wondering if another terrorist attack had taken place in Paris. Which would not be a good thing would it?

mikewsmith - I said "shouting" not "shooting". I thought it odd he started having a go at security guards outside rather than going inside.

, who shouted "God is greatest" in Arabic,

Anyone on this forum who wouldn't have understood if the Beeb had quoted what he actually shouted?
