Arghh! Took delivery of a shiny new Edge 810, only to discover that pairing via bluetooth is not supported on the S2
And there I was, thinking bluetooth was all the same.
Has anyone had this issue, and does it mean that as far as pairing goes with an S2 it's not going to happen?

I bought a HRM. It wouldn't pair with my iPhone 4 or S4.
Upgraded my phone to an iPhone 6 and it works fine.
Not the news you want to hear but it will probably never work with your S2.
What version of Android on the S2?

Are you using the Garmin app on the phone?

Some people have reported an issue with bluetooth on that version of android. I have tried updating the version, but it seems version 4.1.2 must have been the last one samsung supported on the S2. I could root the phone, but don't want to really have to go through the pain of re-installing all of my apps and data.
Is there a quick way?
