I've had a redundant external door removed and where it used to be is now rendered (1 week old and looks dry).
I'd like to get some paint on the render - do I need to thin the first coat (Dulux Weathershield masonary)?

I would definitely thin the paint when painting reindeer. Dont want to weigh them down too much 🙂

Leave it 28 days before painting, then two coats. No need to thin

thinning paint - to make it go further when the new surface absorbs it.

Ie its done by tradies and cheapskates to minimise costs.
