Ever wondered what happens when you try to use bike disc brakes to slow down a massive lathe running at 800rpm?

Me neither. But this guy has:

I liked his optimism that sintered pads or a 'DH brake' would fare significantly better in such a brutal test.

That's giving me idea's about making a similar set up for the lathe at work to bed my pads in 8)

The comments on that video are funny saying saints & ice techs would destroy the lathe ๐Ÿ˜† He was purposely trying to get the hose to break at the end by pulling on it looking at the extreme angle it was bent over at coming out of the caliper!

If it was a Hope caliper he could just buy some new seals and pistons but he's buggered as he used a shimano.
