Which is best suited for fourcross duties, generaly pissing about on and riding to work?

purely on the basis of wanting a front brake for riding to work duties I'd pick the former.
Fork is significantly better on the second one.
Plus description of 2nd one specifies a front brake.
Also has sun single track rims.
Is the commute relevant? Doesn't look like it given the choice of bikes...
it is relevant as the comute is all uphill on the way there and all downhill way back,
gearing and wheel base is ipmortant to...
At the end of the day they are both jump bikes. The second is better spec'd for that IMHO with the DJ1 fork compared to the DJ3.
Personally i'd get on southern downhill and buy one of the bargain 2nd bikes on there...
You'll want a triple chainset & drop bars then
not a roadie
Something better on the roads though surely?
its out of those 2, unless a better spec'd geared jump bike can be found for £800
There a Chameleon with Pikes and pro2's etc on SDH for £850 in good nick which would be better then either of those...
well i have to wait a month atm anyway and i dont wont to go along the lines of used bkes as i dont know how its been treated.
NS Bikes seem to be highly rated, I'd probably go with one of them. How long's your commute though? I wouldn't want to ride to work on a jump bike unless it was a mile or 2 max!
1.03 kilometers exactly from on the bike to off 😀
