Thinking of one of the above as next family car/bus, just wondered of anyone has/had one & has any opinions.
We've had a few Sharans as fleet cars - use them for dragging crew about the place.
2.0 petrol struggles a bit when loaded. Very easy to make it understeer woefully. Interior trim gets tatty (although that's probably more to do with the passengers).
Not a vehicle that excites me to drive, put it that way, but they do the job.
I've had a couple of galaxy's. Great for riding, just put the bike straight in the back.
If you ware getting one don't get the basic BHP model as they are underpowered, get one with extra BHP (there are a few different choices I think. I have a 1.8 diesel and it drives fine (for an MPV). I get about 45mpg if I drive sensibly. Currently I have an 05 one, the V plate one I had before had much worse handling.
I hardly every actually use the 7 seats, its mostly just a big useful estate car / van for us.
Its a sensiible choice for me. Unfortunately Mrs Zukemonster gets to drive the Alpha ;(
