Anyone else use the old FS mail which is now Orange webmail? My accounts date from the last century when they were Freeserve.
All is fine but recently it has started playing silly buggers.
My login page no longer remembers my details ad I have to manually enter them. Also it won't remember addresses and I have to select them from the address book rather than just typing the 1st letter. Occasionally it won't let me access the address book and finally it has taken to just loosing the text as I am typing.
A recipe for change I suppose but the addresses are well established and used.
I could blame the computer but all of the above happens on which ever computer I use including literally dozens of other ones at schools I work with. No changes have been made that I am aware of.
Anyone.,
Oh yeah and the help desk is non existent.

My version gets slowed down, I assume by the ads. Well I don't actually see them but we won't go there. It's painfully slow to use reply, hangs up for two mins or so. I use it much less than I did. Must move on. Maybe that's their idea.

Using firefox here, and I've got various add ons which automatically fill usernames and passwords and get rid of the adverts, so didn't have those problems.

I did have a load more problems, mostly with emails not getting through (as a lot of email systems have @fsmail blocked for some reason, apparently). Combining that with the fact that @fsmail isn't bb compatible, and I switched to a different email address pretty sharpish.

It is a right pain, but it is nice to have a fresh start, and although it might take you a few hours to switch over, it is worth it, and you do end up so organised afterwards.

I massively recommend gmail, but I also have outlook and hotmail accounts (pretty much the same now), and they both work fine, although not as good as gmail. I still have my fsmail address, and check it every few months or so just to make sure I don't miss anything.

Its all the forums and newsletters that would need sorting out that puts me off changing.
Just wondering why things started happening.
