That's fantastic, what a great set of photos! Thanks for posting, I've never seen an ekranoplan in such detail, or really been aware of their full specs, what a shame it's not operational.

They look ugly and menacing; horrible things! Actually they look like some child has assembled them out of bits and pieces of an Airfix kit glued together.

I'd still like to see that in a museum somewhere instead of just rotting away. Yes it is ugly, but it's a fantastic use of physics and a unique aircraft/boat/thing.

Some say the same about sharks. And they certainly do look like a mad assemblage of bits from various sources, but they're also a totally unique form of transport that really does need to be preserved.
