Partner loves messing around oil painting, just having fun.

She mentioned an easel would be nice...which nicely fulfils the christmas present conundrum

So any advise, or suggestions? They range from £5 on temu to a price to make your eyes water for some wood and bolts 😉

So looking for something that can be folded away (but not necessarily portable), for oil painting, and must be able fit upto 30"x30",

Cheers as always

It is great because it all folds down to the size of a suitcase with the legs retracting and clipping to the sides of the drawer box. The drawer box gives you storage for paints and brushes and you can even carry it with a couple of canvas clipped in place.

Basically, if you leave it with some paints and brushes in, you can just pick it up, go wherever you want, paint with all your equipment with you and then come back with the painting clipped in place as it dries.

I was bought this one from Hobbycraft (I think), probably for about £40-£50 but it looks like it has gone up to £87 now. There are more expensive options.

IMG_20220302_120453101.jpg I've got this one in my garage in Stafford you can have for nothing.  Postage might cost a bit though.

Ok, I'm a gentleman of leisure, close to Cannock Chase, so free most days for a pick up, or a ride, or meet somewhere for a ride and handover.

What direction would you be coming from and what days are you free.

I'll dig it out, give it a wipe down and post a photo of it's current condition.

I'm currently a person of leisure too (though it can't last) but am having car battery issues that have escalated, which I can't nail down, as an electric issue or battery (should be sorted in the next day or 2). I'd be coming from Stourbridge ways, and am e-biked up nowadays (thought worth mentioning)

What a lovely day,  met Z1ppy on Cannock Chase, handed over my late mother's easel so it can continue doing good work and spent a couple of hours showing him some of the better cheeky trails.

I would love to bring a couple of mates down to enjoy the Wyre Forest with Z1ppy if it ever dries out!

John, I am extremely grateful for your generosity, the easel has gone down very well and I've got explored even more of the chase, which is never a bad thing. More than happy to show you round the wyre, but yeah.. when it's a bit dryer
