[Closed] Ok who's up for drinks one evening in That London then?

Following on from Karinofine's previous attempts to get folk out for drinks.

Will be centralish, ie not Ealing or Croydon or anywhere silly. Suggestions for pubs are welcome; outside seating/area to stash bikes is quite important. Obviously bring a bastard big lock anyway, and don't bring some £4000+ bling machine!

It'll be an opportunity to meet, argue and insult each other like we do on here. Or, we could just have a drink and a laugh, as previous drinks evenings have gone.

So, state yer preferences in terms of times/dates below, and we'll see if we can't get something going.

Some time before Christmas would be good....

I would but I don't know when I'm available, and I won't have a choice of bike either 🙂

If it's a Friday or Saturday evening, I might be able to come on the train. 🙂

Yup, as long as the boozer serves decent ale.

Weekday evening for me, any Thursday ?

I'm sure we can manage that in London, after all, beer was invented here you know. 😉

Friday's obviously a good day for most as it means people can have a drink without having to worry about getting up early the next day.

Pity summer's over, as sitting outside at this time of year can be a tad chilly. 🙁

I'm down in that London quite a lot at the moment - decide on a date and I'll see if it matches up...

If it's Friday then I'm out. In the Dragon's Den sense, not the pub drinking sense.

Ha ha! Not that bad, although WCA and I paid £5.50 a pint in Brew Wharf one evening! 😯

Ton; I booked ahead when I went up to Bradford a few months ago, think it was £thirty two pounds and fifty pence return.

I'm really liking the Fox and Anchor in Smithfields atm. Lovely pub, nice beers on tap. But there are plenty of options.

Is the Gunmakers the one popular with Fixie riders? Will be packed out on a Friday for sure.

Right. To make this easier, anyone with an interest please state what times/days are good for you, so I've got something to work with. IE, 'Thurs/Fridays from 6', or 'Mon/Weds from 7', etc. And feel free to suggest pubs!

I'll come if I'm free.

Somewhere central nearish to one of the train stations to catch those that commute more easily? Brew Wharf or one of the others in borough market is close to London Bridge. Near Waterloo there's just bars...slug and lettuce or all bar one... but it's nearer whitehall so nearer me.

There's a great pub under cannon street....right on the river, in an arch of the bridge....damn...forgotten the name though!

Well you're not invited so there. You're too nasty and mean. 👿

Aleigh- hug waiting here with your name on it! 🙂

Am I bollocks. People should buy me drinks if you ask me...

I'm going to come along and steal all your bikes.

You can try, but I'll D-lock you to some railings where you're not supposed to lock things to, and then you'll get cut off by the rozzers and impounded! How about that one, eh?

Sooo....

Friday week then? From about 6ish?

I assume you'll want a pub with wheat beer then?

aP: I think we might just be able to find a pub with a whole range of nice beers! Including of course IPA, which was invented in Bow, in the East End. Wheaty beer is a given; it's healthy and nutritious.

Oh, and TJ:

So there.
