As an ITnumpty do I stand any chance of being able to build my own site/page? And if there is a chance, which progs are good?

Depends what you want it for. A simple static html page is easy to do, but you have to faff having somewhere to host it. If you have a mac and a me account its dead easy using iWeb. Yahoo Site builder is an option as is getting a free blog account at wordpress.com - you don't have to use it as a blog!

If you let us know what its for we might be able to point you in the best direction?

On line shop I guess is the way to describe it.

On line shop I guess is the way to describe it.

1. Roll your own from scratch - need to know about databases, security etc - not really an option
2. Off the shelf packages from folk like Daily - Good, but may be overkill
3. Ebay shop - easy to setup and use, but tied in to PrayPall etc.
4. Simple HTML pages but using PayPal or Google Checkout for payments - not too complicated

I'm sure others will come along with more/better ideas.
