Got a Belkin router that I have forgotten the security code for and am now running through a network cable. Is it possible to do a cold boot and re-enter a new code to allow my laptop to be wireless again

Do you mean the admin/user password, or the security key?
If you can log into the router you can normally just choose a new security key.

Sometimes there's a button on the back; hold it down while powering on and it resets to factory defaults. Or some similar incantation - RTFM!

And if you've lost the FM, you can normally get hold of one on the manufacturers website.
What's that? No router, you say...?
