just came across this demo video on youtube (had the video of this back in the day).
sony sure knew how to advertise the playstation.

I remember going to one of the big stores in Cardiff (Virgin Megastore?) on the launch weekend of the PS1 and the crowds were huge! They had big (for then) screens showing promos like this and everyone was just staring at them, mouthing 'Want'. People forget how revolutionary the PS1 was at the time.
The first plays all my friends had on Wipeout and Gran Turismo was all that was talked about at the time.
Probably one of the last bits of tech that created such a sustained stir outside the world of the computer geeks 😆
