How to tame it? Recently I've noticed a distinct and worrying increase in the growth of my nose hair. If left unchecked I think I could soon be rocking a nose beard. I've bought two nose trimmers but they've both been crap - they seemed to just snag, rip and push the hair around.

Can anyone recommend a decent (though not silly expensive) trimmer for my wife to buy me 🙂

A pair of nail scissors does the job just fine.

I'm guessing that you're mid 30s ish.

Have always thought nail scissors worked pretty well.

Am only 31 though so you may be dealing with heavier vegetation!

31. Which presumably is the age of explosive nose hair growth. I've been using nail scissors but I was hoping there was a technological marvel that I could just shove up there and eradicate the problem. From time to time.

Both my wife and my work bought me nasal hairtrimmers from poundland as a 50th bday present. 🙁

I find the little bic razors work very well, they're just the right size to fit up your nostril and do a quick twirl. Clean it all out a charm.

Well, according to Mrs samuri anyway.

Doesn't get any better. Funnily enough I was giving mine a good trimming earlier. I bought a little 'Male Grooming' kit from Wilko a while ago, maybe two years, for a tenner, got a beard trimmer and a nose/ear hair trimmer plus other odds'n'ends, all works a treat, no problems at all. Made by Wahl.

According to the salon my wife uses, nasal waxing is very popular amongst Colorado mountain gentlemen.

I brought a nose hair trimmer from Aldi, possibly the best four pounds ever spent. Painless and much better than plucking them at the traffic lights.

I get a sick satisfaction from just pulling mine out with my fingers.

you need nasal hair to help filter out baddies and keep moisture in, so don't pluck, just trim. I have nasal hair scissors which have rounded ends to prevent nasty intranasal stabbing injuries.

Personally I like to pull my nose hair out using my thumb and forefinger - makes my eyes water. (27 year old BTW)

So don't yoofs and women breathe in baddies & retain moisture?

It's just age creeping in. Pluck like a man.

tend to just pull em out with my fingers (as edd described without the strange leakage of water) when I'm bored

I use what joolsburger posted above. works fine for me.
Sometimes I use nail scissors, but best not to when drunk.

Finally as a last resort I pinch wads of nasal hair and pull them out with a quick yank. I do this in the lift at work where no-one can see me cry.

anyone else get those random single super long thick eyebrow hairs? like twice as thick as a normal hair, seem to appear from nowhere and seem to grow over an inch long overnight. They're well hard to pull out with your fingers but totally satisfying when you do get one!

GW - yep.

Trick is to hold the skin back on the other side of the root from the direction you're pulling the hair in.

ker-thunk.
A really good one has brain matter attached to the end.

look on amazon , they do a trimmer called the groom mate platinum X1 , its £14 but worth it and guarenteed alifetime, no batteries you just twizzle it on the offending outgrowth

Pluck with thumb and forefinger while sat in traffic.
The stinging and eye watering keep me awake on my daily commute.

Pliers for the stubborn ones.

Yes, well one recurring one anyway. Half black half grey as well.

Yes, they also have nasal hair, it just might not be as thick or visible.

Pull out with fingers & thumb. Sometimes an alarming large clump of hairs will be wrenched from my hooter. Smarts a bit!
