Both of us up all night a long way from home. Doc says no dairy or nurofen.
What will speed our recovery? We both had a pint of lemonade which we had craved.
I really fancy some apples ...good or bad?

personally, I'd keep myself hydrated but not eat anything solid.

[edit] and wash your hands loads and try and make sure you clean anything you're touching a lot (like taps, toilet flush handles, door knobs etc with some sort of bleach solution).

When I had it I found that nuun tabs or similar for rehydration and replenishment seemed to work.

Don't eat solid food it will just prolong the suffering.
It could be a few days before you feel safe to travel.. You'll also probably be infectious for a few weeks so try and be hygienic
