Hiya.
Had our Virgin box and fibre modem installed last week.
After the engineer had left I noticed he'd left the V6 box upside down.
After turning it the right way round and sorting out the wiring it makes one hell of a racket - really intrusive, assume it's the hard drive as it doesn't appear to have a fan.
We've a replacement arriving on Thursday, but will the new one be any better?
Anyone else had this?
Also, how do you find the picture quality compared to standard, rooftop aerial Freeview? Certainly different, just tweaking the picture profile for that input on the TV which makes it better, but still not convinced.
Like the funtionality of the box, brilliant customer service by phone so far.

I've never noticed any sound from ours. Whereas, I could hear the HDD spinning quite clearly in the TiVo box it replaced.
