[Closed] Noise when reversing?

Reversing what?

Is it punctuated by a voice going "Vehicle Reversing"?

if it is I know what it is.

Sorry, it's my car, a Fiat Punto (don't laugh). Ian if that is the case then it is a very persistent mouse!

Where on the car is it coming from? (Roughly)

is it only if you reverse up a hill?

As far as I can tell it is only when reversing up a hill.

its not just the lack of a helical gear on reverse is it ? or is it a new squeek ?

install a cat to catch the mouse perhaps ?

And when he starts to get a purring noise when reversing up a hill?

It's a new squeak, I didn't notice it for the first 50K miles.

I used to get that noise to, a very faint whistle/squeak. It just stopped one day and never came back. It's a Punto, relax!

I would also follow all of the above advice, just for comedy value. Oh, take some pictures if you do, I’m sure they would go down well on the Punto owners website 😉
