This has become a bit of a theme on here, which I am guessing came about after someone offered advice on a tricky parenting situation..
I feel I should mention that I read something the other day, that claimed research suggests that small threats are a more effective parenting tool than large ones, so perhaps it's not such a silly idea..
At some point (possibly tomorrow morning now) I will venture into the bathroom and have a look at the book where I read this, so that I can provide a link to the research to satisfy those of a more scientific nature...
