I'm sitting here with an HP Pavilion dm1 notebook running Windows 7 Home Premium.
When I go in to change my desktop background, it won't let me change the 'picture position'. In other words, it's set to 'stretch' but won't let me tile or fill screen or anything else, even though these all appear on the menu, and I can apparently select them.
Is there some obvious reason for this? Or is it some system fault?

HP published a fix for that (last year I think). Try the HP forums or driver update site.
