I went into a Jamie's Italian on a sweltering afternoon last week, where I saw a sign by the reservations desk saying "It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas". It ****ing wasn't.

There's a shop in the town where my MIL lives that is a Christmas shop. All year round. It's always got customers in there. One of which is Mrs Seadog 🙄

Here in the USA, the stores break out the Christmas themes and decorations earlier every year it seems, then carry the post-Christmas sales well into January. I guess it is all just part of the commercial hype everywhere these days.
