Got a wedding later in the year at Wylam brewery and the hotel we're looking at (Sleeperz) doesn't have parking.
Are they any option for cheap parking between the castle and the venue? Or cheap hotels that do family rooms in the same area? Needs to be for 2 days/nights..
Thanks

Secure parking, Times Square Car Park.

The City Council Multi storey car parks will be the cheapest. Only charge until 5, with a flat rates of £6-8 per day for week days/Saturdays and £3 for Sundays.

Grainger Town is open 24 hours, The Quayside closes over night. I've happily left my car in both overnight many times. Both are convenient enough for Sleeperz.

All City car parks with rates here:

Dean street used to be reasonable prices, and secure. Not sure these days, but it's in the vicinity, and a nice walk up Grey street.

Dean Street is also a NCC car park, but it's always really busy as it's a few steps closer to the city centre. People would rather queue to get into Dean Street than park the the Quayside multi, even though that's largely empty at weekends. Odd.

I stayed in a Premier Inn or Travelodge just by the Castle last summer, by the river, free parking.

On the rare occasion I drive up to the office now I park in the Q Parks carpark just off Gallowgate. There's a new Premier Inn a couple of minutes from it too in the old CO-OP.

I stayed in Premier Inn right on the river a few weeks ago. Had their own underground car park.

I've stayed in Sleeperz a few times, it's a perfect location and almost totally soundproof. Wylam Brewery is quality as well. They do some great beer.

Sorry, can't help with overnight parking unless you want to leave it on the street in Jesmond or Gosforth. That was my trick for nights out when I had a van.

There is a big car park on Claremont road. You should be able to google to find prices. Free in the evening. Probably need to move the car/buy more than one ticket for the rest of the time.

It's fine and probably the closest one to Wylam. I leave my car there when I need to drive in.

Have you thought about staying north of the city. There are quite a few hotels around Gosforth and Kingston Park. They serve the airport but are too far south to be expensive. Metro is dead easy, runs late and is cheap.

A lot of the streets round there, Jesmond and Gosforth are permit only. Hospitals etc. make parking tricky.

If you really struggle and I'm around. Get in contact nearer the time. I'm in central Gosforth (High street/salters road area), on street parking but I can probably spare a permit.
