(I know a lot of you will find it vulgar)

Slopping rear l gate looks like it is robbing space, looks like a poor design on that bit there for a work style vehicle.

All it needs are missiles, anti tank gun and...

I'm sure you will love it.

Vulgar? No, but it is very big? Are you 5ft tall? Just Kidding!

Plenty of room for luggage and bikes.

Is it 4x4 or dual fuel?

White won't show scratches as bad as a black.

Thank god it's not silver lol

Have fun and drive safely! New cars these days are great.

They do go well. Just go easy in the wet, the back end likes to try to overtake the front end... 😯 and it's a bit heavy for Tokyo drift style shenanigans.

A mate has one of those. Take that carryboy off the back, and you'll get 8 bikes in there, like this:

[img] [/img]

It's not as refined as a car - clearly - but it's not too bad for a truck. and surprising quick.

@Duffer, How do you secure the bikes in the back, from being nicked or flapping around?

😆

I briefly worked for a company that specialised in accessories for pickups, mainly the Navara as it's the most popular but others as well. They don't even drive as well as a modern van, they're a country mile off driving like a car. And then they stick bloody powerful motors in them too, making them very easy to get sideways at any opportunity, but not in a safe way.

Each to their own, but if it was my money, I'd have split it 50/50 ish on a nice van like a Vito, or a T5, decked out for carrying bikes and tools and a few people about, and the other half on a nice car already a few years old, something like an Audi S3 perhaps.

I know how they drive - had a go in one and I'm used to my current tail happy Ford Ranger.

White, as I do Highways Agency work and that, silver, or yellow is generally a stipulation.

The hartop wouldn't be my first choice, but it's a genuine Nissan accessory retailing at around 2 grand, so I'll take it.

4x4 because I do the highway work, I like them and it's the family car, not just a work van.

Cheers, nothing to stop our light fingered friends from making off with the bikes. 😕
I like the idea of the pick up because you can get one of these...

Or even one of these...

well we drove there and then got on our bikes.
4 of us in the vehicle so we would have just taken turns to guard them at services
I would assume fitting a secure lock point to the flat bed would not be a problem tbh.
May have loops you could have used iirc.
Demountables are cool and i also quite like fold out caravans 😳

I hope it was a monetary deposit, but judging from your enthusiasm I fear it may not have been. 😆

I prefer Toyota Hilux but this white Nissan will do too.

Not vulgar at all by the look of it ...

Did you really buy a vehicle with a registration that (almost) reads "SLUT"?

If I saw that parked up, I think I'd have to key it just on general principle 🙂

I had a pathfinder, same vehicle but not pick up, lovely to drive for something so big, loads of toys to play with but thirsty, expensive road tax and tail happy.
But will tow anything, carry most things and go anywhere (almost)

Which end is the front? 😉

Enjoy the new car smell, happy driving!

A shame your colour choice is limited, only happened once growing up but I can remember how excited we kids were helping dad choose the colour of the new car!

The back might come off yet (if I can still muster enough room for my tools), stick some black on it and make it similar to this...

Are you sure it shouldn't have a Q plate. It looks like two different "cars" badly stuck together 😆

Glad it's not just mine then scared the shit out of me first time I floored it on a recently damp slip road! Mrs J wasn't impressed 😆

And if you lot think that canopy looks bad you need to look at some of the abominations Mitsubishi are including on some of their trucks.

Yay we're becoming more and more like Americans every day. But with smaller roads and more traffic.

Looks like a UN peace keeping vehicle.

At £1.40+ per litre to run it, it wouldn't be my first choice. Either either way enjoy it.

Doesn't every petrol/diesel fueled vehicle cost £1.40+ per litre to run takisawa2?

I think his point is on the economy of them, and anyone/everyone who has driven a Navara knows, they are THIRSTY beasts for what they are! They might quote figures in the mid 30's, but that'll be for a RWD version with skinny tyres and not a single extra on it. The fully loaded 08 plate one where I used to work, never got much above 30mpg even on a cruise, and averaged less than 25mpg apparently!

I know that times were that figures like these didn't seem that bad at all, perhaps 15/20 years ago when fuel was a lot less than 1/2 what it costs now. But not any more...

we got one of these for work; It's fun, but I'm glad it's not my money filling the tank; and that's Aussie fuel prices (~70p a litre)

That (the OP's one) is identical to my last police car, minus the stickers and lights.

Don't try and go round corners at high speed in it 🙂

haters gonna hate......I like it. probably not the most practical, frugal or environmentally friendly, but if you like it then who cares.

I love pick-ups:
