We've added a new subscription option to the Premier options.
Premier Lite gives you all the Premier content posted on the front page - entry to weekly Tuesday treats, access to all reviews and Premier stories, plus Singletrack shop discounts and access to Ad controls.

Oh.. and a 'P' next to your name 🙂
Just £1.49/month or £14.99/year.

Sign-up on our subscribe page.

Light?
Or as it's one step below the Premier, how about Championship?

'Light' doesn't work as well - That's why it's not common usage to sell something that is a slimmed down version. Instead the (incorrect) term 'lite' is more contextually recognisable.
I agree that it is grammatically correct but that doesn't mean it will help us sell more subs - in fact it won't 🙂

But it's an ugly American bastardisation of our beautiful language.
And it's only money. 😀

Just buy cheaper coffee.
Or better still, tea. 🙂

Weird, can see it now - both your [img] [/img] and mine 😀

Might be the work firewall/filter blocking it, it's a bit random when it comes to deciding whether something's allowed or not...

Just replied to another thread but replying to this one makes sense, how do we pay for the new sub?

The DD button is greyed out and there are no other buttons available?

Its online payment only for Lite subs at the moment. You need to make sure you are logged in first before the payment buttons appear.

"Premier Lite Sub" makes me think of a low fat luxury lunch offering.

Do you make more money from the digital subscription or the paper one?

We receive more money from the paper sub - cos it costs more 😉

They are about the same really. It would be biased towards digital if it wasn't for the fact we have to add VAT to one and not the other.

We need to use an autorenewing system and although Paypal do actually offer such a thing it is so fundamentally terrible and impossible to use reliably in a complex system such as this that we can't use it. As it happens it is technically Paypal from our POV since the payment system uses our Paypal account to process the actual payments - so the money you pay from your card is processed by Paypal and then dropped into our account. But I understand what you mean when you say you would rather it was processed directly from your Paypal balance.

I think the "P" should be lower case for the Lite subscription.

As a digital-not-paper subscriber, I value the reading mag online and back issues/downloads way more than the 'premier content', competitions, lack of ads or the little "P" for that matter. At £15 it is interesting to see what price stw towers put on what I always thought was the minor/boring/inexpensive bits of the whole subscribers package.
