Bit of a long shot but my google powers aren't up to scratch! Looking for some info on the 2008 Fiesta Zetec S (1.6 petrol model). Basically wanting to know what fuel consumption and tax are like and generally is it any good?
Think it's between this and a 2007 Focus Zetec (1.8 diesel), both are a similar price but the Focus isn't in quite as good nick or as sporty looking! Focus seems to be a bit more efficient if the figures quoted by the dealers are to be believed.
Thought you meant the original Zetec S from around '99-2000ish. Those had the 1.7 Yamaha engine from the Puma and were great little cars, but sadly I know zip about the newer ones.
Not sure about the tax and fuel consumption, but I test drove the diesel version, when looking for a new car a few yrs ago.
I had it down to the Ibiza 1.9TDi Sport & the Fiesta Zetec-S TDCi.
The Fiesta had better handling,ride and fuel economy but as far as I could see that was about it.
It was about a grand more than an equivalent Ibiza, with a lot less equipment and it wasn't anywhere near the Ibiza in terms of performance. The saets didn't go down as flat either in the Fiesta as the seat bases don't tip forwards, which was a consideration for me putting the bikes in the back.
I really wanted to prefer the Fiesta to the Ibiza as I was replacing a Fiesta and it had been a great car, but I had to go for the Ibiza and don't have any regrets (apart from the 0.1% of driving I do these days on really nice, twisty, empty country roads).
Oh, it didn't help that the Ford dealer was a jumped up tick turd who wasn't very polite and had the attitude of 'this car'll sell anyway, so I don't care whether you are interested or not'.
Is it the Current shape fiesta or the slightly older one.

Yeah it's the older one. Had a test drive today and it felt a lot better than the Focus, much more responsive without being twitchy at motorway speed 🙂
