We will be in touch
Any recommendations? Wants to be quaint, offer great beers/pubs, have suitable camping/budget accommodation and be in West Germany (that is in the western part of Germany).
Thanks in advance.
Monschau, and it's not that far from the ports either (just over the Belgian border - south of Aachen)
Cochem or Koblenz, on the Mosel/Rhine rivers, wine producing area, loads of campsites, boat trips and it's very picturesque. Not far from the Nürburgring Nordschleife either if that's your thing. Again not too far from the ports.
Thanks wheelz, we are actually on our way to the Nordscheife, we just want somewhere to stop on the way. We are staying in koblenz (which I love) the next night. I will check out Monschau.

Monschau = good - campsite close to the centre of a picturesque old town nestled in a valley.
It's not a party place, but it is well worth visiting, and there are some good trails in the area.
