We will be in touch
Now im no great audiophile but I do like a nice loud CD once in a while. ive had a technics CD player on my seperates system for 12 odd years, last 2 with a coal fire which kicks out a lot of dust. Recently seem to be getting more skips and no CD errors.
Should I have been cleaning it or owt?
Is it worth cleaning it now?
How do I do it?
Thank you for your time, and for noticing that for once I have managed to post in the right section of the forum (fingers crossed)
You can get lens cleaner CDs (with little brushes on them). TBH though, I've never had a great deal of success with them personally. I've had more luck with a can of compressed air; and by 'more' I mean little as opposed to none.
YMMV etc.
Thats kind of what I thought. My other idea was to spray a shedload of IPA through the slot and walk away for a week, what do you reckon?

Could it be put in a cabinet?
