[Closed] Near the top of Puke Hill in the Pentlands......

......just as you go down the wee dip before the final short climb. On the opposite side of the path from Bonaly Reservoir (ie your LFS as you cycle up) there's what looks like a large dyke, maybe 100 yards long and with a slight bend in the middle. It looks possibly man-made or could just be natural. It almost looks like it was part of a very old reservoir.

Anyone know if it is man-made, and if so what it is? Not sure why I finally decided to ask this as I've passed it literally hundreds of times. Just curious.

It's the remainder of a much older dam. I think it was called Bonaly Pools.
