There used to be a barge or narrowboat(whatever you wanna call them) at Stourport done up like a battleship with guns & everyfink

emac you call it a narrow boat or the water gypsies get cross with you ...or long boat of you want to really annoy them!

I think it is a Springer given the lines, square rear end and rubbing stake anyone confirm this 😳

I lived on a boat for years BTW.

did for about 5 years till babies forced me and the wife off (our own babies)
Al year no home etc.

Like permananently camping. Everything you need not enough space for everything you want.

you considering it?

sort of, but looking at the amount of ice on the narrowboats in my area in winter i'm not sure + where would i keep 4 bikes?

The ice is on one that are not lived on!
They are very warm as it is a very small space to heat we used to just leave our fire (with back boiler /central heating on) and it cost about a quid a day to heat . no council tax,water or elecy bills and yearly overheads of about 1k or therabouts so cheap way to live.
Bikes go on your roof generally under a tarp or you can hang them off the back/side depending on the boat.
I had a mooring with HUGE shed in the end.
