No, not that. 🙂

The bell on my beloved Brompton has died a death. What shall I replace it with? Needs to work well with the fold, obviously.

TIA!

Jacket and jeans? Brown shoes in town? Fauxie?

I will hunt him down and kill him to death.

That Spurcycle bell looks really good! No stock though...They'll take my money, though. Not keen on that. Would rather hand over money and receive goods straight away.

A dingaling is no good for London's roads - this is your friend.

Some may think its a bit antisocial, but it gets the message across.

anono, if I need to be really loud I'll shout or whistle. Both are very loud indeed.

The bell is for the more polite side of things. A sort of audible, "Ahem, would you mind awfully?"

(Besides, only AlturaMan would use one of those! 😉 )

wasn't there a kickstart project mentioned here recently for the ultimate bell, only around £200 wasn't it?

here you go.

Record an mp3 of your choice of words and load into the bell...

while you're in the bike shop, maybe you could get a decent bike to go with it.

the 200 was an exaggeration, still steep but not quite as pricey as I thought, they look good quality, see what the backers think of them after a few months use.

😀 @ Brakes. For the journey this bike does, a Brompton is the sine qua non, trust me!

As before, the Spurcycle one does look good. Expensive, but good. And unavailable. 🙁

That looks lovely, DV, but doesn't look like it would work with a Brompton due to the fitting. Willing to stand corrected, if anyone knows otherwise.

I thought that bell would put in a cameo appearance, DezB.

I got a really loud bell for Christmas that is excellent. Big, but grey. It does 't go dring, it goes ding dong, which is probably appropriate 🙂

When I was, a little boy, my grandma gave me a brand new toy...

Shirley it's more appropriate to say (not shout): "excuse me, would you mind awfully, only I'm on my way somewhere, and wouldn't want to inconvenience you"?

Although I guess you'd have to start from around 50m away, so they might not hear it all...
