So when I search a computer desk (for example) she is seeing the remarketed ads in her Facebook feed? How is this so - I'm not even on Facebook.

Who is sharing info?

I've seen this too.  Ads appearing for something I've searched for on my OHs phone (so different device).  Assumed it must be IP based somehow?

It’s probably your ISP selling you out.

Its especially great when you’re shopping for a surprise gift and their FB gives the game away 🙄

Whilst trying to figure out a similar situation to yours, I concluded that it was because the other person (on FB) hade my mobile number, as there was no other connection between us.

I just put it down to ‘the power of the internet’ ... 🙁

Assumptions that people close to you are interested in the same things as you. Targeted advertising. FB knows who you know and what your relationship is.

You're looking at pages with facebook 'buttons' on them, which returns data on your browsing to FB, even though you don't have a FB a/c. These are linked to the phone because I'm guessing she logs into FB via the same wifi connection as your laptop.
