😀
that is all.
what cricket was that?
indoor cricket league in derby. Good to keep my arm turning during winter.
Yeah it's not 'proper', but three of my wickets were bowled so it's good to know I'm still on target at least!
Did you remove the bell? Not very sporting 😉
Are you aussie? If not 9 wickets in 2 overs leaves 3 scoring balls so you need to tighten up a bit...
Given bowling figures are quoted wickets/runs (even in England) I think that's 5 scoring balls. 9 runs off 5 balls is still a bit expensive.
Agreed but then the overs should be first so I read it as a score (7-9 off 2 overs would in UK be 7 runs for 9 wickets and to an Australian 7 wickets for 9 runs). So there is a need to tighten up bowling and reduce ambiguity over the off-season. I do hope there were no extras in there either?
LOL@ Yossarian
I'm just not good enough.
my team is called Henry blofelds padded googlies though, so we win even before we start playing.
I disagree. As think of it as a 7fer. Overs aren't quoted in best bowling figures, he just added them as an aside....
But yes he does need to tighten up a bit as conceding 9 runs from 2 overs is too expensive.
in this game you can score 7 off one ball.
Pook - is this at Willows? Used to play 5 a side there back in the day. In fact I did a Stuart Pearce there, hurt my leg in a tackle, carried on playing but woke up in the night in agony. I'd broken my ankle.

This.
my lad in a game (u13) last summer took 5 for none off 2 overs (3 bowled/2 caught). This was to make up for his golden duck as opening batsman....
hammerite - yes at willows. great little place.

That's more like it - you won't get anywhere as a bowler without decent economy.

Sounds like you could learn a bit from this lad Pook.
