We will be in touch
My daughter has just been diagnosed with Mumps despite her having had the MMR vaccination.
We have to be a bit careful with her because she also has Cronh's.
When asked if there was a problem with Mumps in the UK at the moment I was told that Polio and Mumps are being brought in (not solely) via immigrant workers as they're not checked when they come over. They can have the vaccines if they want them but it's voluntary and down to their own awareness. This isn't BMP propaganda this is what I was told by the nurse. Also the (false) scare regarding the MMR has meant that the protection it was meant to offer has not been as good as was hoped. So this and Swine Flu doesn't make for good news at moment 🙁
I've not had a mumps vaccine - and I was born and dragged up in the UK.
My son caught it when he was 10 months old - there's a window before they get the MMR jag. That's where your infection pool is.
