I read the book a few times some years back and enjoyed it. Anyone been to see the film? any good?
Doubt I'll watch the film, but went to see Howard Marks in Nottingham a few years ago - very entertaining.
I got free tickets from sky and went to see it last week........ It was OK but I am glad it was free. I would have felt cheated if I had paid.
I dont believe a word printed or uttered by this bloke, but the book is good escapist entertainment value if you suspend disbelief.
Mike Forwells book blowback about his dope smuggling operation was a fantastic read. Has anyone else read it? I saw Mr Nice for free I'd have been a bit disapointed if I'd have paid. Wait to borrow the DVD off a mate.

I met Howard Marks in a club once (when he was riding his fame) inclined to think he is a clever guy and a very good story teller if nothing else.

good advice that..
Well its quite a few years since I read the book and saw Howards Marks live, so I was keen to go and see the story at the cinema too.
It wasnt the best film to watch at the cinema, entertaining yes, but not really cinema material. As others have said, wait for the DVD/torrent or TV.
So i decided to see for myself and it was ok, just ok. Could have been much better though.
