I have a very cheap screenless mp3 player like a nano. How can i force it to play music in a specific order? Do i need to to edit each tag?

Depends, do you know it it read from filenames or id3 tags?

Other than trial and error, I imagine not.
You could put, for example, 3 files on it named 01-xxx, 02-xxx, 03-xxx. If they play in sequence, and not in the order tagged artist/track number would dictate they should play, then you know it's going off actual filenames.
