...does anyone know where bikes are auctioned for finance companies? I have a friend who buys cars at auctions which are from finance companies...but no bikes? Any ideas on motorcycles? Preferably in the south east.

Maneheim Auctions do them as well. Watch out for Hondas with no keys etc, very expensive to get running again. Most bikes i've seen at auctions have been sheds or have some history behind them, they also tend to go for silly prices (high), especially at the moment as lots are going to eastern europe.
