Looking to go for a long weekend road biking and swimming in lac montriond end of September, what's the weather generally like then,?

Its generally very variable. Could really be anything but I'd put money a bit of rain at some point. You might get lucky and have a load of sunshine, though.
I went mid septemebr and it snowed up top. Ok , above Avoriaz , so higher than the tarmac but there was fresh snow on the tops.
Then with that there was obviously a chilly start to the day , it rained abit as well . Often a heavy afternoon downpour. Its not the nicest area for road biking IMO , Good for MTB but all the lifts will be shut by then and Lac Montroid is pretty place to be.
I would go to the Pyrenness late September if I had a choice ,or one of the Med Islands . Majorca, Corssica etc
As above if its road biking go to Majorca or Corsica, Â better swimming too of course,
if you want MTB the lifts in Verbier run into late (?) October, weather of course can be all over the place from beautiful sunny autumn days to heavy rain. Swimming in Lake Geneva or at sports centre (Verbier or Martigny - outdoor pool closes 10 Sep)
