Need new one for the ceramic kitchen sink, as they've stopped producing the one I've been buying as it eventually breaks.. Simplehuman (pretty decent but flawed)[img] [/img]

I've tried those silicon mats before now but there rubbish and go mouldy and don't like being dishwashed regularly..
Joseph joseph do one that looks good but is no doubt fragile and over priced, what I'd like to try is one of these but that quite pricey too

ps. needs to be heatproof too, as we dump the pans in straight off the hob

Does what it says on the can...stops ceramic sink from being chipped or stainless steel one from being scratched. You don't have to use one, but the g/f is precious about her (newish) kitchen and would like it to stay nice..

Should have bought a sink you can use, not one to look at!

Yup. Proper ceramic Belfast sink should take a fair bit of use if used normally ... use but not abuse.

that might be the case but a ceramic, bought to budget, sink may need extra protection (definitely in the g/f's eye's)... there a thriving market of these out there. So even if your outraged by our use of one, ppl do, use them 😀
Anyone?

I thought that's what washing-up bowls were for?

Just get a stainless steel sink, put the germ encrusted plastic bowl in the garage for oil changes/draining things.

STW has spoken. New sink or new girlfriend. "Sink saver" indeed.

For a pre-read of the responses you're about to get, see the patio thread from a couple of weeks ago!
