My downloads folder disappeared from my folder tree, not sure what happened, I tried to fix it following youtube/google advice. It's now worse!

All that shows is a One Drive folder, no documents, downloads, desktop, etc.

Any ideas?

I don't think it will be this, but check view, show, navigation pane: image.png

You’ll need to explain in detail what Google advice you followed and what you mean by “worse”.

Can you see it in C:\users\gobuchul ?

If so right click and “Pin to Quick access”

I would try downloading the Win11 installation files and doing a repair installation (i.e. keep files and settings).

I wouldn't.

If you open a browser, press ctrl-J to open your downloaded files list, then click Open In Folder next to one of them that should open your Downloads folder.

@gobuchul Do you want me to look at this tomorrow evening for you?  It's probably something a) trivial to fix if I'm looking at it and b) a pain in the arse to play if-this-then-that for the next fortnight otherwise.

@Cougar I sent you 2 dm's then reached my limit! There doesn't seem to start a new line without sending?

The downloads folder has disappeared from the folder tree and all other folders that were in the tree are now the user folder on a C drive.

In most cases, Shift+Enter works.

Downloads, etc, usually live on the C drive under the user name.

I don't know what you mean by Folder Tree. Is that something like "frequently used folders"? Click the 3 dots on the right of the menu bar, go  Options and see if it's ticked.

I'm going to DM you my phone number.  If you're free this evening then WhatsApp me if you can, or give me a call after about 8pm.

Download "QuickSupport" from here first.  It'll allow you to show me what you're seeing.
