Why is Arsen still reluctant to strengthen the squad, unless something happens in the next couple of days?
The stadium is now paid for so what's stopping him, is the money coming out of his wallet?
If I was a season ticket holder I would be really really pissed off instead of just pissed off.
There must be a decent central defender, defensive midfielder & striker about?

Who would he sign though? How many proper world class strikers are available? United are in desperate need of one too, and I don't believe the Neymar rumours for a second

Top class talent is massively overpriced, Wenger has always looked towards value for money.

Every time he's spent big the player has failed.

Not seen today's game but I understand Newcastle were perfect hosts and even decided to score for you lot. What a nice club I support.

I don't quite get what the woes are though?

Modern gooners have a non-negotiable right to win by at least three clear goals every week playing breathtaking attacking football. They're sort of like Real Madrid supporters but without the faint hint of realism.

Bring back George Graham... 😉

What ever happened to the 'fox on the bench'?

I remember Everton fans getting excited one season, when for half a dozen games he'd scored more than Robbie Fowler.

Not an arse fan, but I'd love to see them bursting the bank to sign Thomas muller. Quality player, and fantastic goal scorer too.

Neymar is not what united need. A manager is what United need.

Wenger does seem to have a mental block about signing players. I think that they need someone who could do what Cantona did for the rags all those years ago. Zlatan would be the obvious candidate but do not know if Arsene could cope with his personality.

As a City fan I am enjoying things at the moment - just worried at how easy things seem to be atm. Top of the table clash against Palace next game - did not anticipate that!

If he was working within a budget he should have snapped up Lacazette.

Without a striker and a centre mid we won't challenge.

We don't have a striker full stop.

So Sanchez and Giroud aren't strikers?.

When I say striker I mean an Out and out striker. A Henry, Tevez, Aguero or Suarez. Giroud is not this. He has a role but we need that striker.

Benzema, Lacazette, Aubemayang or Higuan would make our team better.

Oh and Sanchez, no, he's an incredible attacking midfielder.

He has spent big with OZil and Sanchez

Problem is he buys mor eof the same when everyone knows they need a tougher spine

Everyone needs a striker and a defender but there are is only an endless supply of number 10's or over priced fast talent.

Remember when arsenal used to win stuff? It wasn't because of Terry Henry and Bergkamp, joy to watch they were. It was because of Viera and a rock solid defence. You've got neither.

And I say that as a massive admirer of that arse squad.

You need a ****ing nails midfield general. It appears they don't make them any more. Though we have now got Schweinsteiger 😀

I think when you had the whole Keane/Vierra thing going on was the best football ever played in the premiership.

The only team playing that exact type of football - all out attack, with a rock solid back line to back it up, and a proper midfield General marshalling it all - and it pains me to say this - are City. Ya Ya is a modern day Viera

I ****ing hate Chelski. And i'm absolutely loving their start to the season! 😀

Me too Binners, EVERYTHING about them from the Manager down to the supporters. They are my closest Prem team and as such have a lot of Chelski supporter friends I enjoy bantering with. I would never watch a Chelsea match unless it was against Arsenal, but knowing the score yesterday I watched the entire 90 mins on Sky last evening and loved it.

As for Arsenals spine, it's not rocket science, it's pretty obvious that we need an extra dimension, but who exactly could we buy from any other Prem teams (that might sell) who could take Ramsey's, Wiltshire's, Carzola's, Ozil, Sanchez's places? Also I think that the modern defender is much quicker than in past years and your typical centre forward isn't given the room/time anymore.

Anyway, come on Swansea!

I am struggling to watch us under LvG as we dont seem to bother attacking any more we just try and keep the ball - this seems to mean take a long time passing it slowly back to the keeper who will hoof it up field

Scintillating it is not.
Swansea, despite the 38% possession look most likely to score and are more entertaining

Team know to just drop deep and cover space as we will be so ****ing slow and take no risks
and we are off

Rockape- it was a joy to watch, wasn't it? Costa, who typifies Chelski - nasty, thuggish, diving cheating bastard - getting well and truly owned by Deleaney for a full 90, with the delightful John ****ing Terry watching from the stands with a face like a smacked arse! 😀

We'll be lucky to get 3 points out of this. Swansea look good. We need a proper out-and-out striker desperately. Rooney just isn't one.

Yeah exactly Binners, I was chuckling away at all the acting and close ups on Moany and Terry, was pure theatre!

Reckon this game has 1-1 written all over it....hopefully!

It's dire! Got to agree with you JY. When you're 2 - 1 down why are you playing long balls back to the keeper?

Indeed it will

We have no pace or penetration and it is ****ing boring to watch.
we never look dangerous and no one will fear playing us

Liverpool had about 70% possession yesterday and got turned over. United looked exactly the same! Any team will let you stroke it around in midfield all day if they know you're not looking like doing anything with it. Woeful!

The title already looks like City's

I dont even think we are that good ]we stroke it around slowly moving it backwards to the keeper afraid to try the killer pass

I,m a Swansea fan and I've probably watched a few hundred games in my lifetime mostly in the lower leagues with the odd big cup or play off game throw in and even though I haven't got the money to go nowadays(even if I could get a ticket) it's great to see what a brilliantly well run club they are.
And it was bizarre to hear van gaal saying monk changing the shape of the swans team threw his team and they couldn't cope,he's the manager its his job to solve those problems, strange comment really.

I was in Swansea when they had the friendly against Deportivo last month.
Great stadium, I thought Gomez looked rusty and wouldn't be any good at the start of the season.
As you can tell, I know what I'm talking about..... 🙂
