Really, really pisses me off!! Found this mess this week when out working. Nice, remote area, spoiled by this:
Question is this: if you found personal details, BT/Electric/Bank/Credit Card details amongst the rubbish, what would YOU do?
I'm doing nothing as 1)Not got the balls, 2) Probably not the person that dumped it, nobody could be that stupid.
Ironic thing this spot is about 5 miles away from a large landfill site!
Report the details.
Sure the person on the bills probably didn't dump it but they'll know who they employed to clear their house/renovate/whatever.
Tell the council.
>1)Not got the balls,
FFS! You've not going to be the star witness in some international pikey trial. All you're doing is phoning in a flytip letting the council know that there are name/address details at the site.
It wont be anything to do with the person named but it might link to them. It'll be a house clearance/dodgy landlord. Council should have a department dedicated to this so get in touch.
Jeebus, that's a proper mess. P1sses me right off too when people can't be bothered getting a permit to dump after renovations, house clearances etc.

I was thinking more like making use of the bank and CC details kind of revenge!!! Which would be a step too far if it wasn't the person's actions.... and probably illegal!
There was stuff dumped at the same spot last month, that had been cleaned up. And they have fitted CCTV to a site close by. So the council are on it. Problem is it's a stone's through from lovely North Belfast... so no shortage of undesirables that don't give a ****.
the council use these personal details to trace and prsecute fly tippers all the time. call it in.
report it to the council, they will do the rest including taking the idiots to court if they find the evidence. Usually you don't have to be involved

Any goodies in amongst the tat?
Send the details and the location to the Environment Agency! They have people dealing with flytippers, a lot of their won prosecutions come when people leave in their details - folks really at that dumb. Here's the website for you for NI:

oopos forgot to say you might be able to do it anonymously, you will definitly not be called up to court or anything so there should be no way for anything to come back to you...
