They're not bloody wrong.
I thought (because I'm sad) to experiment to see how large a sunflower, left in it's very modest planting pot would actually get. It's just a handful of compost essentially.
It's currently at 7' 4", having had nothing other than a regular water supply.
It actually looks like it's going to have a stab at growing a bloody flower too 😀
Furthest on the left, rather obviously.
