It's the standard avoidance tactic for war criminals though innit, that and refusing to recognise the legitamcy of the court. this will go on for years and he'll most likely die before he's found guilty.
This, of course differs from the American approach, where they just shoot their war criminals and chuck them over the side of a boat, Sopranos' style.
