I drop off a suit at the dry-cleaners.

She says "do you want to keep your receipt, or shall I?"
I say "I'll keep it, thanks"
She says "I won't give you your suit back if you haven't got the receipt when you come for it"

This puzzles me.

If she keeps the receipt, I won't have it when I come back for the suit. Unless she gives it to me, and I exchange it for the suit. But how will she know which receipt is mine?

I think I may need to change my dry cleaner to someone who doesn't want to bend my mind out of shape. 😯

Is it the "Dead letter drop" dry cleaners next to the Russian embassy?

Or perhaps it was the clear fluid from the choc bar

bad chemicals in Dry cleaning, she's probably been sniffing them for years, to her this all makes perfect sense, she probably also believes that 29ers make good bikes, and that flat bars have any place in the modern world, poor demented soul... 😉

Not just a warning not to loose the ticket? She'd probably have put your name and number on the back of the ticket if you'd not elected to keep it yourself.

Or you could walk in tomorrow and announce you're Melissa and see if you win a pink tutu.
