Got thoroughly ravaged by the little b@st@rds this weekend. Usually they are mildly annoying, leave a red dot for a couple of days and that's it. But this time, they itch as much as mozzi bites! Have I become allergic to them? Will I ever be able to visit Scotland in the summer again?!

I was told midges were immune to DEET? Hard to believe actually, it's horrible stuff. Melts my skin, I'm sure of it...

I have been midged during May. I think there's a two week gap between the snow disappearing and the midges arriving 🙁

DEET works well on midges. Better than anything else - Al is right that after you get bitten antihistamines may help
