Absolutely brilliant live, although I've seen them 5 times now it's only been at festivals, would love to see them in a proper venue. Koko would be perfect.

I love Yerself is Steam but I've never got on with their other albums. I stopped taking drugs after the first one - maybe some connection!

Saw them at the Leadmill in about '91/92?
Had a drunken chat with a guy at the bar while the support were on, then he staggered up onto the stage - Mercury's front man.
Can't remember what we talked about - probably head sets and missing crown races. Flaming Lips were good there too.

Saw that at She Bu Empire, and they do put on a pretty good show... Although I hear they refuse to play Goddess On a Highway at any gigs

Huge fan back in the day - yerself is steam, carwash hair etc.

Don't really dig their later stuff after the big acid casualty left (David Baker?). It's absolutely fine, but sort of exposes the lead singer's voice. That sort of countrified sound needs a stronger vocalist IMHO.

Think I thought I liked them once, listened to an album and decided I didn't.

Liked their early stuff and thought they improved up to Deserters Songs, which at the time I thought was the peak. But then All Is Dream was even effing better! It's been dowhill since. Only saw them the once at the Bierkeller in Bristol 2004 - fantastic. I was surprised that they were playing such a small venue, I always imagined they were huge and playing stadiums! 😕
