I need some new boots cos my crappy just a year old Columbia ones have the sole peeling off (despite attempts at regluing).

I always seem to like the colours of womens boots over mens (!).

Is there a difference? (narrower feet for females?), shirley if a boot fits a boot fits - no?

I struggle to find mens boots with the cute little kitten heel I like.

The ladies' versions often have little bits of fur trim and tassles and suchlike. As long as you're happy with that, there shouldn't really be any major difference.

Footwear for the ladies will probably have less cushioning to reflect their lighter weight. If you have the build of a lady and the feet of a lady, then wear high heels and be happy.

I think what you really need to do is look deep inside and ask yourself if you are truly happy with 'who' you are.

Surgery and hormone drugs can do wonders these days.

I'd have thought they'd be a different shape (last). Probably narrower overall, but if they fit then why not??

As mentioned above, perhaps a lighter cushioning? Perhaps not.

If they fit, they fit. My walking boots and Five Tens are men's. Being tall is fab but also means size 9 feet. 🙁

My previous walking boots where the women's version because they had a slightly narrower heel cup and fitted way better. They didn't look any different to the same model in a men's fit though.

buy some proper boots then. proper goodyear welted bench made in Northampton. Grenson, Barker, Cheaney etc then you can resole them a couple of times.

Women's feet tend to be narrower across the ball of the foot than mens' and also have a smaller and narrower heel volume. The area around the achilles is also narrower and tends to curve in more from heel to calf if looking at the foot side on. Quality technical Shoe/boot fits tend to reflect this by being generally more slender and having a more pronounced and narrow heel cup.
Learned this from working in an outdoor shop.

I often have to get blokey bike shoes as I have the feet of a hobbit. 🙁

Grenson are made in Rushden, Cheaney are in Desborough, Barkers are in Earls Barton. Churchs and Trickers are in Northampton 😉
