Spotted a note on his website this morning stating that Roy Beardmore had passed away in March this year, very sad news 🙁
For those who haven't heard of him, his website was nearly the Sheldon Brown of mechanical engineering, a handy and oft-used myriad of references and tables.

That is sad news. A wealth of knowledge on the site, I have used it many, many times.

He created a brilliant website, which will hopefully continue to be available as a reference for all.
