Anyone tried the new official marmite crisps yet? Found them in Waitrose & scoffed a pack as soon as I got in, and my first thought..."Where's the frikkin Marmite?". Taste more like a beef flavour or something, nothing like the good old black nectar. Very disappointing.

I've not tried the crisps but I love the Marmite mini ricecakes, especially with a pint of ale.

You ate a crisp expecting it to taste like the flavour promised?

Have you ever blind-tasted crisps and tried to guess what flavour they are?

Good point mastiles - but Marmite is kinda distinctive and when walkers did them a while back they tasted way better than these.

These used to be my faves too, but I have gone on to the balsamic onion ones.

Ohh, and salt and vinegar Squares - tart-tastic ๐Ÿ™‚

Both wrong.

Walkers coriander and lime mini-popadoms are the official best crisp-type snack in the world at the moment.

Or Seabrooks Wasabi.

pour some used engine oil into the crisp bag and shake it around a bit. Then you'll get the same taste and consistency experience as eating real marmite.

Current crisp of choice is Walkers Red Sky West Country Bacon & Cream Cheese. I know they're trying to be Kettle Chips, but, damn, they taste good!

Noooo - they are the worst offenders for everything tasting the same. And the same taste is salt, salt, salt.

EDIT: I liked the old packaging they had though - ''more'' than just a ''crisp''

Why the heck are the words in quotes????
