'Helmet for my pillow' by Robert Leckie was a little harder to get into but a good read non the less.
My favourite Is still 'We were soldiers once and young' By Hal moore.
Vulcan 607 (But NOT the Bucaneer based follow up!)

My favourite Is still 'We were soldiers once and young' By Hal moore.
Great book, read it then watch the film, and wonder why the films ends about half through the book. When the yanks are still winning:-)
Give Trusted Mole a read. that book stopped me in my tracks a few times.
